REBLOG IF YOU’RE A TRUE 90s KID

AN 1890s KID

remember how we all used to wear those high collars and play hoop and stick?

don’t even get me started on those rocking horses

MY CHILDHOOD

With no irony, I have the greatest respect for engineers of yesteryear.

They made a trans-continental telegraph network with close to ZERO logic involved. It was all people.

WWII had encryption. It ran on dials and electromechanical relays.

We landed on the moon with less computing power than your digital watch.

WWII had cryptography. It ran on dials and electromechanical relays. The first Macintosh? Full graphics and mouse, with drag-and-drop and point and click and what-you-see-is-what-you-get? I bet many of you have car stereos with more speed in them.

These are engineers and designers who changed the world. You just don’t find work like this any more.

Defund Crisis Pregnancy Centers!

Anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers are taxpayer funded. But to work or volunteer there, a person must be a Christian. Centers are not allowed to use government money to promote their religious beliefs, but they use religion in their hiring decisions and encourage introducing women that come there to Jesus Christ.

Some states have even required women to get counseling from crisis pregnancy centers before getting an abortion, where they are often provided with misleading and false information.

During a time when the government is trying to defund Planned Parenthood — an organization that provides real health services and information to people in need — the government is funding religiously biased institutions that spread more harm than good. Please tell the US government to defund crisis pregnancy centers!

Signal boost. These facilities should absolutely not receive federal funding.

This was a raichu commissioned by someone on Etsy. I’m willing to make sleeping pokemon sculpts by commission, they are 10 dollars each to start, with 5 dollars for shipping.

This guy was kind of a challenge, I destroyed one of him on accident, then smashed it up out of frustration and re-creating it was no walk in the park! But I’m happy with the result in the end.

For the first eight years of our marriage, [Michelle and I] were paying more in student loans than what we were paying for our mortgage. So we know what this is about.

And we were lucky to land good jobs with a steady income. But we only finished paying off our student loans—check this out, all right, I’m the President of the United States—we only finished paying off our student loans about eight years ago.
